Bahrain Marks World Patient Safety Day with Focus on Newborn and Child Care
The Kingdom of Bahrain is joining the global community in observing World Patient Safety Day on September 17, held this year under the theme “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Child” and the slogan “Patient Safety Right from the Start.”
On this occasion, the Ministry of Health reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights of newborns and children to receive high-quality healthcare services from the very first moments of life. The Ministry emphasized its efforts to intensify national, institutional, and community initiatives aimed at establishing and implementing sustainable plans for safe healthcare.
The Ministry further highlighted the importance of empowering families and caregivers to actively contribute to ensuring the safety and well-being of this age group, while also supporting research in the field of pediatric and neonatal patient safety.
Additionally, the Ministry underscored the need for continued cooperation among healthcare sectors, government entities, and civil society organizations to promote initiatives and strategies that enhance the safety of newborns and children. These efforts align with Bahrain’s national vision to raise the overall quality of healthcare services.
