Foundation Calls for Culture of Giving

On the International Day of Charity, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to making giving an everyday practice, framing charity not as a once-a-year observance but as a defining national culture.

His Excellency Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of RHF, described charitable work as a pillar of Bahrain’s humanitarian vision. He emphasized that the Foundation’s mission is guided by the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain and Honorary President of RHF, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Shaikh Ali underlined that the Foundation translates the values of generosity into tangible initiatives and projects that serve people wherever they are. “Charitable work is a shared responsibility that reinforces noble values of giving and social cohesion,” he said.

RHF’s charitable efforts, he explained, focus on empowering beneficiaries of humanitarian support, promoting education and capacity-building, enabling youth, and delivering external relief and development projects. All these initiatives, he added, are closely aligned with the royal directives.

Closing his statement, Shaikh Ali urged citizens to make good deeds a permanent part of their daily lives, reflecting Bahrain’s honorable humanitarian image in all forums. He stressed the importance of community participation and unified efforts in driving charitable initiatives both at home and abroad.

The Foundation’s message positioned the International Day of Charity not as a symbolic occasion but as a reaffirmation of Bahrain’s enduring model of generosity—anchored in empowerment, national leadership, and a culture of giving.
