Mohammad Mansoor Wins ACC Executive Board Seat
Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) Advisory Board Chairman Mohammad Mansoor has been elected to the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Executive Board for 2026, strengthening Bahrain’s representation in regional cricket administration.
Mansoor was elected during the ACC Annual General Meeting in Bangkok, which brought together representatives from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, GCC countries and other ACC member nations.
The meeting was chaired by ACC President Mohsin Naqvi. Other elected Executive Board members include Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Thani, Mahmood Ghaznavi, Mohamed Faizal and Khalid Zarooni, who will serve as Vice Chairman.
Mansoor said he was honoured by the appointment and viewed it as an opportunity to contribute to cricket development across Asia, particularly by strengthening opportunities for Associate Members.
He said his priorities would include greater cooperation among ACC members and expanding opportunities in infrastructure, player and coach development, officials, grassroots programmes and international competition pathways.
“Asian cricket has enormous potential,” Mansoor said, adding that he would work with the ACC leadership and fellow board members to ensure the aspirations and development needs of Associate Members receive a strong voice.
Mansoor also expressed appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, for his continued support for sport and cricket.
He also highlighted the ACC Board Meeting previously held in Bahrain and the visit of former ACC President and current ICC Chairman Jay Shah as important milestones in strengthening Bahrain’s engagement with the Asian and international cricket community.
The appointment gives the Bahrain Cricket Federation a wider platform to develop partnerships, exchange expertise, and create opportunities for players and officials.
