Shura Chairman hails charity leadership on International Day of Charity

The Chairman of the Shura Council, His Excellency Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, affirmed that Bahrain has become a global model of humanitarian work, guided by the lofty vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His remarks came as the Kingdom joined the world in marking the International Day of Charity on September 5.

Royal Patronage

H.E. Al-Saleh underlined that His Majesty’s approach has entrenched a culture of giving and sacrifice, making aid to the afflicted, medical and relief support, and educational and social projects central pillars of Bahrain’s charitable reputation.

He said these contributions have elevated the Kingdom’s humanitarian standing at both regional and international levels.

H.E. expressed pride in the royal patronage and constant support that His Majesty devotes to charitable and volunteer work, stressing that the King’s wise leadership deepens solidarity and cohesion, ensuring the sustainability of humanitarian initiatives at every level.

National Leadership

The Shura Chairman also praised the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its efforts to reinforce charitable values.

He noted that the Crown Prince’s initiatives embody a pioneering national vision, strengthening solidarity and laying foundations for sustainable development through government programs that reflect the spirit of generosity ingrained in Bahraini society.

Institutional Stewardship

H.E. Al-Saleh further highlighted the role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).

He commended H.H. Shaikh Nasser’s leadership in steering innovative charitable programs, achieving notable milestones, and leaving a clear imprint both locally and internationally.
