H.H. Shaikh Nasser calls charity a national legacy

• Charity as lifestyle
• Efficiency with empathy
• Bahrain’s global respect

On the occasion of the International Day of Charity, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, affirmed that charity in Bahrain is not limited to a single day of giving but is a way of life.

His Highness stressed that Bahrain’s humanitarian approach—guided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, and followed up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister—has earned the Kingdom global respect and appreciation across international platforms.

Humanitarian Tradition

Shaikh Nasser noted that the day serves as a reminder to celebrate those who dedicate their lives to helping others, even under the most difficult circumstances. Their work, he said, is inspired by the values of community solidarity, dignity, and sustainable development.

He added that Bahrain has long been a pioneer in extending a helping hand through its humanitarian programmes at home and abroad.

Mission with Efficiency

Highlighting the central role of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, His Highness praised the institution as Bahrain’s foremost charitable body, known for working with efficiency and excellence.

Its mission, he said, spans the comprehensive care and empowerment of orphans, widows, and vulnerable groups, while also supporting development initiatives and urgent relief efforts. All of this, he emphasized, is carried out within the framework of Islamic values and Bahrain’s national duty.

Ambassadors of Giving

Shaikh Nasser underlined the importance of embedding charity in the nation’s identity and instilling these values in younger generations to ensure continuity.

He called on all those engaged in humanitarian work to be ambassadors for Bahrain, reflecting the Kingdom’s spirit of compassion and service through their actions.

His message reinforced that Bahrain’s humanitarianism is not seasonal but an enduring legacy, one that defines the Kingdom’s role both domestically and internationally.
