Abu Dhabi Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition Draws Thousands on Sixth Day
Abu Dhabi, September 4, 2025 — The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) continued to captivate thousands of visitors on its sixth day, offering a blend of culture, trade, entertainment, and heritage activities.
Organized by ADNEC Group, a Modon company, in cooperation with the Emirates Falconers' Club, the exhibition runs until September 7 and has become a popular weekend destination for families, heritage enthusiasts, and outdoor adventurers.
The event featured cultural showcases such as the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority pavilion, where visitors explored the UAE’s history, and the Qasr Al Hosn pavilion, which displayed Emirati poetry, including works by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and other renowned poets.
Beyond heritage, ADIHEX served as a hub for trade, connecting visitors with local and international manufacturers offering everything from consumer goods to cars and fishing equipment. Children also enjoyed interactive experiences at the Majid pavilion, which featured drawing, falcon-holding, and activities inspired by the popular magazine.
The sixth day’s program included specialized workshops hosted by Abu Dhabi Police. Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Hood Al Shanqeeti delivered a session on wilderness medicine, highlighting first aid for remote environments, preparation of travel kits, and prevention of common injuries during hunting and equestrian trips. Another workshop, led by Colonel Mohammed Salim Al Ameri, introduced the “Opportunity of Hope” initiative, a program that allows drug addicts or their families to seek treatment without legal consequences. The workshop concluded with interactive quizzes, black-point reductions, and prize giveaways to encourage public engagement.
The exhibition arena remained a major attraction with live shows that combined heritage with innovation. Spectators enjoyed falconry and Mongolian eagle hunting demonstrations, Saluki and Friesian horse showcases, as well as a camel parade by the Jordanian Royal Badia Forces. The Abu Dhabi Police Music Band and K9 Unit also performed, adding to the day’s excitement.
On the technology front, visitors witnessed demonstrations of Sawari, an artificial intelligence tool for monitoring horse health, underscoring advances in equestrian veterinary care.
The day wrapped up with falconry simulations and equestrian performances, leaving visitors with a rich mix of tradition and modernity.
Through its diverse activities, ADIHEX continues to highlight Emirati cultural heritage, promote innovative approaches to preservation, and position Abu Dhabi as a global hub for hunting, equestrian sports, and environmental sustainability.
