Speaker Praises Women’s Contributions on 24th Anniversary of Council

HE Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, praised the support given to Bahraini women by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government led by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He said their efforts have helped women play a bigger role in society and the country’s development.

The Speaker said the Supreme Council for Women has been a major step in supporting Bahraini women. Established 24 years ago, it has helped women take part in all areas of society and government and has strengthened their contributions to Bahrain’s growth.

He expressed pride in celebrating the Council’s achievements under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa. The Council has launched programs, partnerships, and initiatives that highlight the success of Bahraini women locally and internationally.

The Speaker also highlighted the role of women in parliament and politics, praising their contributions to legislation, oversight, and international forums. He said Bahraini women have earned trust and leadership positions, helping the country achieve its development goals.

He congratulated all members of the Supreme Council for Women, women in the legislative authority, and female professionals across Bahrain for their efforts in advancing the nation. He also praised the cooperation between the Council of Representatives and the Supreme Council for Women in training and supporting women in government institutions.
