Saar Crash Driver to Face Criminal Trial on June 23
The Public Prosecution has confirmed that the man responsible for the tragic car crash in Saar — which took the lives of a father, mother, and their child — will stand trial on June 23, 2025.
Investigations revealed that the driver was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the accident. He was speeding far beyond the legal limit and ignoring basic traffic safety rules. His reckless driving caused him to swerve suddenly into oncoming traffic, crashing into the victims’ car.
The impact was deadly. The father and mother lost their lives at the scene. Their children were severely injured, and heartbreakingly, one of them later passed away due to the injuries.
As soon as authorities were alerted, the Public Prosecution began its investigation. The suspect was questioned and presented with the evidence. He has been in custody since and will remain detained until the court date.
This devastating case has shocked the community and sparked fresh calls for responsible driving and stricter penalties for those who endanger lives on the road.
