MP seeks upgrades to Isa Town and Al Maqasees markets

MP Dr Maryam Al Dhaen has urged the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, to upgrade the traditional market in Isa Town and the Al Maqasees market, as part of a wider push to address local concerns in the Southern Governorate’s Second Constituency.

She raised the matter during a meeting with Al Mubarak, where she also pressed for better roads and improved upkeep of parks and public spaces.

Dr Al Dhaen called for tidier neighbourhoods through modest planting efforts and basic improvements to streets and shared areas, saying the changes should keep the area’s character intact.

Priorities

The two markets were put forward as priorities. One is a long-standing part of Isa Town, the other known for second-hand goods.

The MP called for upgraded services while preserving the traditional atmosphere that draws regular visitors.

Other concerns brought by residents were also discussed, with follow-up to take place in coordination with the relevant departments.

Dr Al Dhaen noted the minister’s willingness to engage and said she looked forward to MP Dr Maryam Al Dhaen with H.E. Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak steady progress on the ground.
