19 fishermen feared drowned in India’s Bay of Bengal Kolkata, India Nineteen fishermen were feared drowned after their three wooden boats capsized in choppy seas in the Bay of Bengal off India’s eastern coast, the coast guard said yesterday.
Three bodies have so far been recovered after the men from West Bengal’s Sunderbans region defied bad weather alerts from local authorities and set off early Monday.
