Decomposed body of Asian found in Sharjah
Sharjah: Sharjah Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the desert in Sharjah.
The body was found on Saturday in Al Fayah area in Sharjah. Police say that the body is of an Asian man in his thirties, but they are waiting for forensic results.
Sharjah Police said they believed the body was of a worker who was reported missing on Wednesday after the rains.
The worker was with his Emirati sponsor at a farm in Al Madam area when rain and thunderstorm hit. A rescue team managed to save the sponsor while the worker "vanished" in the flooded valley.
"On Saturday, a search team found the body in Al Fayah and police believe it is of the missing Asian worker,” an officials said.
An official at Al Dhaid Hospital confirmed to Gulf News that the hospital received a decomposed body and it was referred to the forensic laboratory.
