Oil supply cushion ‘scarily thin’ amid US-Iran war, says Aramco chief

London: Global oil inventories have fallen to dangerously low levels as the US-Iran war puts further pressure on energy supplies, Saudi Aramco chief executive Amin Nasser warned on Monday.
Speaking at the Energy Intelligence Forum in London, Nasser said the global oil system was already under significant strain, with limited spare supplies available to absorb further disruption.
'The system is already straining,' Nasser said, warning that the world has 'precious little else' to rely on and that the remaining supply resilience cushion is 'scarily thin'.
His comments came days after G7 countries agreed to release additional oil from their strategic reserves in an effort to ease concerns over supply shortages linked to the conflict.
