GCC Secretary-General Condemns Houthi Attack on Saudi’s Najran Region

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi has strongly condemned the Houthi attack targeting Saudi Arabia's Najran region, describing it as a terrorist act that deliberately endangered civilians and reflected the militia's continued criminal conduct.
Al-Budaiwi said the attack, which injured several civilians, constitutes a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law. He stressed that the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure is an unacceptable act that threatens regional and international peace and security.
The GCC Secretary-General reaffirmed that the security of Saudi Arabia is inseparable from the security of all GCC member states. He reiterated the Council's unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom and expressed full support for all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity, citizens, residents, and national security.
He also called for accountability for those responsible, emphasizing the importance of upholding international norms and ensuring the protection of civilian lives.
