Jordan, Syria Hold Expanded Talks in Damascus

Senior officials from Jordan and Syria held expanded bilateral talks in Damascus, focusing on cooperation across key sectors including water, energy, transport, trade, and civil aviation.
The Jordanian delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi. He was joined by Minister of Water and Irrigation Eng. Raed Abu Al-Saud, Minister of Transport Dr. Nidal Al-Katamin, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Eng. Yarub Al-Qudah, and Chairman of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Daifallah Al-Faraj.
On the Syrian side, talks were headed by Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani, alongside Minister of Energy Eng. Mohammad Bashir, Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaar, Minister of Transport Dr. Yarub Badr, Chairman of the General Authority for Ports and Customs Qutaiba Badawi, and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport Omar Al-Husari.
The discussions form part of ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination between the two neighboring countries in areas of shared strategic interest, particularly infrastructure, trade facilitation, and regional connectivity.
