Kuwait Energy Shipment Completes Transit Through Hormuz Strait

An LPG shipment from Kuwait was transported through the Strait of Hormuz using a coordinated maritime operation involving a Kuwaiti tanker and a chartered vessel, according to shipping data and industry sources.

The tanker "Umm Al-Ruwaisat Gas" loaded the LPG cargo on May 28 from the Al-Ahmadi Port refinery. During part of its voyage, tracking signals from the vessel were reportedly disabled, before the ship reappeared on monitoring systems on June 7 near the Sikka region off India's northwestern coast.

After successfully crossing the Strait of Hormuz, the vessel carried out a ship-to-ship transfer operation, offloading its cargo to the large tanker "Badrinath", which is leased by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, according to traders and maritime tracking data reviewed by Kepler.

Following the transfer, the receiving tanker "Badrinath" continued its voyage toward India's Paradip Port, where the cargo is expected to be delivered.

The movement highlights the use of complex maritime logistics operations, including mid-sea transfers and route coordination across key international shipping lanes.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and the Oil Tankers Company have not issued additional public details on the shipment.
