UAE Condemns Iranian Attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait as ‘Dangerous Escalation’

The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the Iranian drone and missile attacks targeting Bahrain and Kuwait, describing them as terrorist acts and a serious violation of international law.

In separate statements, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks constituted a flagrant breach of the sovereignty of both countries and posed a threat to their security, stability, critical infrastructure and civilian facilities.

The ministry condemned the strikes on Kuwait that killed one person, injured several others and caused damage to vital facilities, including Kuwait International Airport and diplomatic missions. It said targeting diplomatic premises violated the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantees the immunity of diplomatic buildings and personnel.

The UAE described the Iranian attacks as a dangerous escalation and reaffirmed its rejection of actions that undermine regional security and stability.

The ministry also expressed the UAE's full solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait, backing all measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their sovereignty, security and stability.
