India and the United Arab Emirates reaffirmed their growing strategic partnership following a high-level meeting this week between India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

NSA Doval’s official visit to the UAE highlighted the continued momentum in bilateral relations between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi, which have expanded significantly in recent years across political, economic, and security domains.

Strategic Cooperation

Both sides examined ways to further deepen collaboration in defence, security, technology, energy, and trade. The engagement reflected the growing scale and depth of ties that have positioned the India–UAE relationship as one of the most significant partnerships in the region.

The leaders also discussed regional and global developments, exchanging views on the evolving geopolitical landscape and the importance of maintaining stability, peace, and prosperity in the wider region.

Priorities on Security and Growth

Counter-terrorism cooperation, economic connectivity, and long-term development initiatives were among the key areas of mutual interest highlighted during the talks. Both countries reiterated their commitment to strengthening coordination on shared security challenges and expanding economic opportunities.

The India–UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, established in 2017, has steadily broadened beyond traditional cooperation into emerging sectors such as fintech, renewable energy, food security, and advanced technologies. Regular high-level engagements continue to reinforce the forward-looking nature of the relationship.

The latest meeting underscores the sustained diplomatic engagement between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi, reflecting a shared commitment to longterm strategic alignment. In an increasingly complex global environment, both nations continue to emphasize consistent dialogue at the highest levels as a cornerstone of their partnership.
