Ministers Condemn Israel’s Diplomatic Move in Somaliland
Foreign ministers from several countries have strongly condemned Israel’s decision to appoint a diplomatic envoy to what is referred to as “Somaliland,” calling it a clear violation of Somalia’s sovereignty.
In a joint stance, ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Bangladesh, Algeria, Palestine, Turkey, and Indonesia expressed their firm rejection of the move. They emphasized that such an action undermines the unity and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
“This step constitutes a blatant violation of Somalia’s sovereignty and the unity and integrity of its territory,” the ministers said in a statement, urging respect for international law and national borders.
