Apple’s first foldable iPhone is reportedly on schedule for a September 2026 launch, according to reports. This update follows recent concerns from Nikkei Asia regarding engineering snags during the device's testing phase that threatened to push production into 2027.
Despite these reported hurdles with hinge and screen durability, internal sources suggest Apple remains optimistic about its fall timeline.
The highly anticipated ‘iPhone Fold’ is expected to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. While the complex design may limit initial supply, trial manufacturing has reportedly begun at Foxconn facilities. Positioned as a high-end flagship, rumors suggest a starting price near $1,999.
If Apple maintains this trajectory, the device will mark one of the most significant design shifts in the company’s history, pivoting the brand into the competitive foldable market this year.
