Abu Dhabi: One Dead, Four Injured After Debris Falls on Habshan Gas Facility
Abu Dhabi authorities have confirmed that two fires broke out at the Habshan gas facilities following falling debris caused by the successful interception of a threat by air defence systems, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office.
Emergency response teams were deployed immediately and managed to bring the situation under control without further escalation.
During the evacuation of the site, one Egyptian national tragically lost his life. Additionally, four individuals sustained minor injuries, including two Pakistani nationals and two Egyptian nationals.
Authorities reported that significant damage occurred at the facility, and a comprehensive assessment of the impact is currently underway.
Officials have urged the public to rely only on verified and official sources for information and to avoid the spread of rumours or unconfirmed reports.
