Indonesian UN Peacekeeper Killed, Three Injured in Lebanon

Jakarta: Indonesia has confirmed the death of one of its peacekeepers serving with the UN mission in Lebanon, UNIFIL, after a projectile struck their position near Adchit Al Qusayr on 29 March 2026.
According to the foreign ministry, the peacekeeper was killed and three others were injured when “indirect artillery fire” hit near their post.
“We are profoundly saddened by this loss. We pay our highest respect to the fallen peacekeeper for his dedication and service to international peace and security,” the ministry said in a statement shared on social media.
Indonesia also strongly condemned the incident and called for a “thorough and transparent investigation” into the attack.
