Abu Dhabi: Five Indian nationals were injured in the United Arab Emirates after missile and drone attacks linked to Iran triggered fires in an industrial zone in Abu Dhabi early on March 28.
According to officials, the injuries ranged from minor to moderate. Authorities confirmed that all five victims are Indian citizens.
The incident occurred in the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), where two fires broke out after debris fell from a ballistic missile that was intercepted by UAE air defence systems.
The UAE Defence Ministry said its air defences successfully responded to incoming cruise missiles and drones, preventing direct impact but resulting in falling debris that caused the fires.
Emergency services were immediately deployed to contain the blaze, with specialised teams working to secure the area and prevent further damage.
