Qatar Airways Resumes Four Saudi Routes

Qatar Airways is expanding its operations in Saudi Arabia with the resumption of flights to Qassim, Taif, Yanbu and Tabuk this winter, taking its total weekly services to the Kingdom to more than 155.

Flights to Qassim will resume on October 25, 2026, followed by services to Taif on October 31, Yanbu on January 2, 2027, and Tabuk on January 3, 2027.

The airline will operate two weekly flights on each of the four routes, giving passengers greater travel options and access to Qatar Airways’ global network of more than 160 destinations through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport.

The expanded schedule represents an increase of more than 10% in weekly services to Saudi Arabia compared with the summer season.

Over the past 12 months, Qatar Airways has carried more than 2.3 million passengers between Saudi Arabia and destinations across its global network.

The airline has also increased frequencies on key Saudi routes. In June 2026, services to Riyadh were raised from 35 to 49 weekly flights, providing passengers with more flexibility and connection options through Doha.

Passengers travelling on some of Qatar Airways’ busiest Saudi routes can also benefit from next-generation onboard connectivity. Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam are regularly served by widebody aircraft equipped with Starlink, providing complimentary high-speed gate-to-gate Wi-Fi on eligible flights.

In July 2026 alone, the airline operated more than 685 Starlink-equipped flights across the three routes.

Qassim services

Flights between Doha and Qassim will resume on October 25, 2026, with services operating every Sunday.

Doha to Qassim: QR1194, departing at 08:15 and arriving at 10:00.

Qassim to Doha: QR1195, departing at 11:05 and arriving at 12:40.

An additional weekly service will operate every Friday from October 30, 2026.

Doha to Qassim: QR1194, departing at 09:05 and arriving at 10:50.

Qassim to Doha: QR1195, departing at 11:50 and arriving at 13:25.

Taif services

Flights to Taif will resume on October 31, 2026, with services operating every Wednesday and Saturday.

Doha to Taif: QR1206, departing at 07:35 and arriving at 10:00.

Taif to Doha: QR1207, departing at 11:00 and arriving at 13:10.

Yanbu services

Services between Doha and Yanbu will begin on January 2, 2027, operating every Wednesday and Saturday.

Doha to Yanbu: QR1216, departing at 07:30 and arriving at 10:15.

Yanbu to Doha: QR1217, departing at 11:20 and arriving at 13:35.

Tabuk services

Flights between Doha and Tabuk will resume on January 3, 2027, with services operating every Thursday and Sunday.

Doha to Tabuk: QR1220, departing at 07:25 and arriving at 10:20.

Tabuk to Doha: QR1221, departing at 11:20 and arriving at 13:45.

With the four resumptions, Qatar Airways’ Saudi Arabian network will include Abha, AlUla, Qassim, Dammam, Hail, Jeddah, Madinah, NEOM, Riyadh, Tabuk, Taif, The Red Sea and Yanbu.

Services to NEOM are scheduled to resume in the second half of 2027.

Bookings for the flights are available through Qatar Airways’ website and mobile application.

Passengers can also benefit from Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership, including access to in-flight Starlink connectivity and the ability to collect and redeem Avios for upgrades, shopping and dining at Qatar Duty Free, extra baggage and other benefits.

Qatar Airways was named the ‘World’s Best Airline’ for a record ninth time at the 2025 World Airline Awards, organised by Skytrax. The airline has also received recognition for ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’.

The airline recently received Platinum performance recognition from aviation analytics organisation Cirium for reliability and operational performance.

Qatar Airways currently serves more than 160 destinations worldwide through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport.
