Trump Claims U.S. Near Completion of Military Targets in Iran
At the Future Investment Initiative forum, U.S. President Donald Trump delivered wide-ranging remarks focusing on ongoing global conflicts, military operations, and international alliances.
Military Operations and Iran
Trump stated that military operations targeting Iran-related objectives were “now really done,” claiming that forces were continuing to strike remaining targets. He asserted that opposing air defenses had been largely neutralized and described ongoing operations as highly effective and extensive.
He also made broad claims about advanced missile interception capabilities and large-scale operational success, presenting these as evidence of superior military technology and battlefield control.
NATO and Allied Relations
The U.S. President criticized NATO, arguing that member states have not consistently provided adequate military support to the United States. He suggested that assistance from allies is often delayed until after conflicts conclude and questioned the reliability of NATO support in a major crisis.
Trump also referenced discussions with European leaders regarding military readiness and equipment cooperation, using them to reinforce his broader criticism of alliance burden-sharing.
Ukraine Conflict
Addressing the war in Ukraine, Trump claimed significant casualties on both sides and reiterated his view that the conflict would not have occurred under his presidency. He criticized previous U.S. leadership, describing the war as a prolonged and severe humanitarian crisis, and said efforts to resolve it should continue.
Regional Partnerships
Trump thanked several Gulf nations—including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait—praising their cooperation in regional security matters and contrasting their support with his criticism of NATO allies.
