Kuwait Foils Terror Plot Targeting Vital Facilities
Authorities in Kuwait have successfully thwarted a terrorist plot aimed at targeting key national facilities, according to a statement issued by the Kuwait Interior Ministry on Wednesday.
Security forces arrested 10 Kuwaiti citizens suspected of belonging to a terrorist cell linked to Hezbollah. The ministry stated that the group had coordinated with external operatives who provided guidance on potential targets for attacks.
According to ministry spokesperson Nasser Buslaib, investigations revealed that the suspects had undergone training at Hezbollah camps outside the country. The training reportedly included the use of weapons and drones, with the aim of carrying out sabotage operations that could threaten Kuwait’s security and stability.
Authorities confirmed that legal measures are being taken against the suspects, while investigations remain ongoing.
