NATO intercepts ballistic missile over Turkiye

ANKARA: The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that NATO air defense systems successfully intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile aimed at Turkiye.
"All necessary measures are being taken decisively and without hesitation against any threat directed at our country's territory and airspace," said Turkiye's ministry of defense.
The government also confirmed that consultations are being conducted with the relevant country to clarify the incident. National security remains the top priority as all regional developments are closely monitored and assessed.
