Lebanon: Four people were killed and ten others injured on Sunday after an Israeli airstrike targeted an apartment inside a hotel in the Roucheh district of Beirut, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.

Videos circulating on social media and Lebanese news platforms reportedly show the aftermath of the strike, which witnesses said hit the Ramada Hotel in the Lebanese capital.

Lebanese media outlets also quoted an official source saying that members of Hezbollah imposed a security cordon around the targeted hotel in Roucheh following the attack.

Meanwhile, at least eight people were killed on Saturday in southern Lebanon in a series of Israeli airstrikes, according to official figures.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported that six people were killed in an Israeli strike on the town of Khirbet while a second strike left at least two people dead in the town of Kfarreman.

The National News Agency in Lebanon said Israeli air raids targeted more than 20 towns and villages across southern Lebanon, as tensions and cross-border hostilities continue to escalate.
