UN Secretary-General Urges Immediate Diplomatic Action
The Secretary-General of the United Nations has expressed deep concern over the recent wave of unlawful attacks across the Middle East, warning that they are inflicting severe suffering on civilians throughout the region.
In a statement, he highlighted that the ongoing conflict also poses a serious threat to the global economy, disproportionately affecting the most vulnerable populations.
“The situation could spiral beyond anyone’s control,” the Secretary-General cautioned, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the start of serious diplomatic negotiations.
