Around 50 Flights Scheduled on 7 March to Repatriate Travelers from West Asia

In a major effort to bring stranded Indian travelers back home, around 50 flights, including 43 by Air India Express, are scheduled to operate on 7 March from various West Asian cities to India. The flights will connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Muscat, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah, ensuring safe and timely repatriation of passengers.

Following the recent reopening of airspace over Saudi Arabia and Oman, flights to Jeddah and Muscat are operating normally. However, airspace closures continue in other parts of West Asia, affecting certain scheduled services. To address the situation, Indian authorities, in coordination with local authorities, have arranged additional flights and secured necessary clearances, allowing stranded passengers to return home safely.

Officials have emphasized that travelers should check with airlines for the latest updates before planning their journey, as operations to some regions remain suspended due to ongoing airspace restrictions.

The repatriation flights are part of India’s continuing efforts to ensure the welfare of its citizens abroad during times of travel disruptions, reinforcing the importance of coordinated international aviation management.
