Riyadh Hosts 5th Saudi Media Forum 2026 under Royal Patronage
His Excellency Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Naimi, Bahrain’s Minister of Information, attended the opening of the 5th Saudi Media Forum 2026 in Riyadh. The forum, held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, carries the theme “Media in a Shaping World.” The event welcomed His Excellency Mr. Salman bin Yousuf Al-Dosari, Minister of Media of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, alongside a distinguished gathering of media professionals, experts, academics, and specialists from around the world.
During the opening, Dr. Al-Naimi highlighted the importance of such media gatherings as platforms for reviewing and discussing the latest developments in the media sector. He noted the impact of rapid technological advancements, shifts in content creation, the integration of artificial intelligence applications, and evolving audience consumption patterns. He emphasized the need to harness these changes to strengthen journalistic professionalism, deliver responsible messaging, build societal awareness, and reinforce national and humanitarian values.
On the sidelines of the forum, Dr. Al-Naimi met with Mr. Salman bin Yousuf Al-Dosari to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation and elevating joint coordination across various media fields, in line with the wise visions of the leadership of both nations and the aspirations of their peoples.
Dr. Al-Naimi also commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its outstanding efforts in organizing the forum, highlighting the diverse and vital topics discussed during the sessions and the accompanying exhibition. These platforms offered participants opportunities to exchange expertise, share experiences, and strengthen media collaboration.
In addition, Dr. Al-Naimi met with His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Momani, Minister of Government Communication and Official Spokesperson for the Jordanian Government. The meeting reaffirmed the strong brotherly relations between the two nations and their shared commitment to developing and enhancing cooperation, particularly in the media sector, while exploring ways to support bilateral collaboration and improve joint coordination to achieve shared goals and aspirations.
