This marks Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s third official visit to India since assuming office as President of the UAE and his fifth visit to the country in the past decade. The visit builds on sustained high-level engagement between the two nations, including the visit of His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, in September 2024, and the visit of His Highness Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE and Crown Prince of Dubai, in April 2025.

The visit also provided an opportunity for Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Prime Minister Modi to exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, where India and the UAE share a high degree of strategic convergence. Officials said the discussions reflected a shared vision to chart new frontiers in the India–UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
With bilateral trade exceeding $100 billion and strong people-to-people ties including a large Indian expatriate community in the UAE the visit underscores the growing momentum in relations and the commitment of both leaderships to further elevate cooperation in the years ahead.
