Iran Enters Second Day of Nationwide Internet Blackout Amid Protests

Iran has experienced a nationwide internet blackout for more than 36 hours as protests continue across the country, according to internet monitoring organization NetBlocks.

In a statement posted on X on Saturday, NetBlocks said the shutdown remains in effect following another night of demonstrations that were met with repression. The group added that network data confirms the internet blackout is still ongoing nationwide.

The disruption has significantly limited access to online communication as authorities attempt to control the situation amid the unrest.
