Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has announced the addition of Kozhikode, Kerala, to its international flight map, marking the airline’s seventh destination in India. Beginning February 1, 2026, the carrier will launch eight weekly flights between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Kozhikode International Airport.
This strategic expansion integrates Kozhikode into a robust Indian network that already includes Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Lucknow, further strengthening the vital transport corridor between the Kingdom and one of its most significant source markets.
The new route is positioned to address the high demand from diverse traveler segments, particularly religious pilgrims traveling for Hajj and Umrah, as well as the substantial expatriate community and business professionals.
According to Saudia, this move is a core component of its global expansion strategy, aimed at optimizing its modern fleet and enhancing international competitiveness in line with the Kingdom’s broader tourism and aviation goals.
Operational arrangements are currently being finalized with Indian airport authorities to ensure a seamless launch. With a global network spanning over 100 destinations across four continents and a daily schedule of more than 550 flights, Saudia’s latest move reflects its commitment to increasing international connectivity and supporting the growing economic and cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and India.
