Qatar Embassy Hit in Russian Overnight Strike on Kyiv

Kyiv: A massive Russian overnight attack on Ukraine damaged 20 residential buildings in Kyiv and its surrounding areas and also hit the Embassy of Qatar, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday.
In a statement, Zelenskyy said that at least four people were killed in the capital, noting that “twenty residential buildings alone were damaged.” He added that a building belonging to the Qatari embassy was struck by a Russian drone during the night.
Zelenskyy highlighted that Qatar has been playing a mediating role in talks with Russia on the exchange of prisoners of war, underscoring the diplomatic significance of the damage to the embassy building.
