Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Mirren Honoured at Golden Eve
Los Angeles: Matthew Broderick presented his wife Sarah Jessica Parker with the Golden Globes’ Carol Burnett Award at the new Golden Eve ceremony in Beverly Hills, joking about once doubting her move into TV before ‘Sex and the City,’ which earned her six Golden Globes and two Emmys. Parker called her career ‘a privilege and a dream,’ reflecting on more than 50 years in acting.
Helen Mirren also received the Cecil B. DeMille Award, presented by Harrison Ford, describing it as recognition of a life still unfolding. Golden Eve marked a new ceremony honouring lifetime achievements ahead of the main Golden Globes.
