US Says It Was Informed Ahead of Israeli Strikes in Doha

Israel notified the United States before carrying out air strikes targeting senior Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital, Doha, a White House official confirmed on Tuesday.
“We were informed in advance,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The strikes hit Qatar, a close U.S. ally and host to one of the largest American military bases in the Middle East.
The disclosure highlights Washington’s awareness of the operation, which has raised regional tensions given Qatar’s role as a key mediator in ongoing ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel.
