At Least 16 Killed After Bangladesh Fighter Jet Crashes Into School

A tragic accident occurred today when a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crashed into a school in the capital city, Dhaka. The crash happened at Milestone College in the Uttara area during class hours.
At least 16 people lost their lives, and over 100 others, including students and staff, were injured. Many of the injured suffered serious burns. Emergency teams rushed to the scene to help victims and control the fire caused by the crash.
The fighter jet, a Chinese-made F-7 BGI, was on a routine training flight when it went down and hit the school’s canteen roof. Eyewitnesses described seeing thick smoke and chaos as people tried to escape.
The government has announced a national day of mourning for July 22 and promised a full investigation into the cause of the crash. The Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow over the loss and assured support for the victims and their families.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with firefighters and medical teams working hard to care for the injured.
