New Millennium School, Bahrain hosts its Model United Nations Conference

New Millennium School, Bahrain, opened its doors to the eleventh ‘NMMUN Conference’, on 24th and 25th October, 2025. The New Millennium Model United Nations Conference (NMMUN), hosted over 420 attendees, from schools across Bahrain. The conference hosted 14 councils like the UN Security Council, Federation Internationale De l’ Automobile, Boardroom, UN Human rights council and many more. The theme chosen for this year’s NMMUN Conference was “Cras Vindicare: Reclaiming Tomorrow,” which encapsulated the spirit of resilience, responsibility, and renewal. The delegates debated over different issues plaguing the world today, rose to the challenge of reimagining the world, finding unity amidst diversity, and shaping a future founded on justice, peace, and progress. A variety of important resolutions were passed by the Councils.

The conference began with Ms. Meenakshi Mathur, the Director of NMMUN, welcoming the chief guest Ms Nivetha S, Second Secretary, Indian Embassy, Kingdom of Bahrain This was followed by the Secretary General delivering their opening speech. The conference was officially declared open with the introduction of the chairs to the delegates.

While addressing the gathering, Principal, Dr Arun Kuumar Sharma, traced the history of MUN and NMMUN since 2009 and appreciated the efforts of the teachers of the Social Science Dept. and the students put in making NMMUN more challenging every year.

Chairman Dr Ravi Pillai and Managing Director Mrs Geetha Pillai congratulated the students and the staff for successfully conducting the grand event. The organising committee, led by students, expressed their gratitude to the School Management, the Principal and the teacher coordinators, for their support and guidance.
