KHK Heroes, in association with IOC Bahrain & Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority (BTEA), has organized a photography competition to celebrate the 49th Bahrain National Day.

Amateur and professional photographers across the Kingdom are invited to submit their entries that best capture the tradition, values, culture, places, nature and food of Bahrain. The competition is open to all nationalities and age groups.

The idea is to celebrate the rich vibrant culture of the country as well as its welcoming nature. It is a gesture of sincere appreciation and a promotion of Bahrain’s beauties. Submissions can be clicked from all devices - the relevant judging criteria will be capturing the subject in the best way possible, as well as the composition of the images submitted.

KHK Heroes president Mohammed Shahid has hailed the initiative which will look to evidence the Kingdom’s values in the art form, providing opportunities for everyone to showcase their skills and point of view to a wider and eager audience.

“We want to give everyone the platform to showcase their talents and points of view regarding our amazing country. It is a great opportunity for all to show the world what a beautiful place our country is through the eyes of the people of Bahrain,” Shahid said. IOC Bahrain president Mohammed Mansoor, vice-president of KHK Heroes, hailed the theme of the contest and urged every photography-lover to enter the contest to showcase the beauties of Bahrain.

“Let us all go out there and capture images of inclusiveness in the Kingdom of Bahrain, images that portray the lovely freedom we enjoy to express ourselves. It’s time to capture our loyalty to the spirit of the Island of Pearls with our photographs,” Mansoor said. So, get snapping and send three of the most captivating images you have clicked.

The images can be sent through WhatsApp on 66334422 or via email on iocevents.bh@gmail. com. Mention your name, CPR number and mobile number for identification. An expert panel will be judging submissions, with outstanding figures in the world of photography set to judge the competition.

Ali Al Rifai (editor-in-chief of MTV Lebanon, LBCI Lebanon, and Al Jadeed), Premjith Narayanan (award-winning photographer with 30 years experience, who has been published by the likes of BBC, Canon PhotoPlus UK and many other popular outlets), Jaana Al Balushi (Bahraini photographer and artist, owner of media company Jaan Click Media) will be in charge of narrowing the submissions down to 10 candidates.

Tawfiq, Convener, and Vishal, Joint Convener, of the contest expressed their sincere thanks to the world-renowned judges who are prominent photographers in Bahrain to judge this competition and the entire team/community for supporting this event in expressing our determination to bring Bahrain stand out in the globe for its tolerance.
