Emraan Hashmi-starrer Awarapan 2 has made a strong start at the global box office, recording ₹84.31 crore nett in India during its opening weekend and an estimated ₹120.86 crore worldwide.
The film opened with ₹23.40 crore on Independence Day, followed by ₹34.09 crore on its second day and ₹26.82 crore on the third day.
With the weekend total, Awarapan 2 has registered the third-highest opening weekend of 2026, surpassing several recent releases.
The film has also reported an estimated overseas collection of $1.9 million, approximately ₹18 crore, taking its worldwide gross to an estimated ₹120.86 crore.
The performance also places Awarapan 2 among the fourth-highest Independence Day weekend earners of the 2015–2025 period, underlining the strong audience response across markets.
The opening marks a major return for Emraan Hashmi as Shivam Pandit, with audiences responding positively to the character and the world of the Awarapan franchise.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui and Vishesh Bhatt, the film also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Suvinder Vicky and Aniruddh Rawal.
