flydubai Expands Italy Flights, Adds More Dubai Connections

Dubai-based carrier flydubai has expanded its services to Italy by increasing daily flights between Dubai and Naples, while introducing twice-daily operations to Milan-Bergamo from July 31, strengthening connectivity between the UAE and Europe.

The airline also announced a temporary operational change for its Naples route due to scheduled maintenance at Naples International Airport. From November 1 to 30, 2026, daily flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) will operate to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi and Cilento Airport (QSR) instead. Services to Naples International Airport (NAP) will resume on December 1.

Passengers holding bookings to Naples during the affected period will be automatically transferred to flights serving Salerno, ensuring uninterrupted travel.

With the latest schedule enhancements, flydubai will operate:

• Twice-daily flights to Milan-Bergamo.
• Daily flights to Naples (temporarily Salerno in November).
• Three weekly flights to Catania.
• Seasonal twice-weekly flights to Olbia through the end of August.

flydubai Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith said Naples and Milan have become key gateways within the airline’s Italian network, adding that the expanded services reflect the carrier’s commitment to improving connectivity and supporting growing trade, tourism and business links between the UAE and Italy, particularly during the winter travel season.

Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce, said the expanded schedule reinforces the importance of the Italian market while offering passengers greater travel flexibility. He noted that the combined flydubai and Emirates codeshare network provides seamless onward connections to destinations including Kenya, Oman, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Zanzibar.

The airline continues to expand its global network, having recently launched flights to Aleppo in Syria, Bangkok in Thailand and Benghazi in Libya. Direct services to Pokhara, Nepal, are scheduled to begin on September 23.
