Hollywood Actor Patrick Muldoon Dies at 57
Patrick Muldoon, best known for his roles in Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, has died at the age of 57.
According to family members, the actor passed away on Sunday after suffering a heart attack in Beverly Hills.
Born William Patrick Muldoon III in 1968, he began his acting career in the early 1990s with guest appearances on television before landing his breakthrough role as Austin Reed in Days of Our Lives in 1992. He went on to appear in more than 400 episodes of the long-running soap and later reprised the role in the 2010s.
Muldoon also gained recognition for his recurring role as Richard Hart in Melrose Place, and for his performance in the sci-fi film Starship Troopers.
Over a career spanning more than three decades, he built an extensive filmography with over 90 acting credits, including roles in films such as The Comeback Trail and Marlowe. In addition to acting, he worked behind the scenes as a producer on numerous projects.
Muldoon’s most recent appearance was in a 2025 television film, with several projects still in development at the time of his death.
