Emirates Renews Partnership with Team New Zealand

Emirates has renewed its long-standing partnership as naming sponsor of Emirates Team New Zealand, the Defender of the America’s Cup. The agreement extends through the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup and all preliminary regattas, marking over 20 years of collaboration in international sailing.

First established in 2004, the partnership has supported Emirates Team New Zealand through decades of competition and innovation, including their historic victory in Barcelona in 2024. That win marked the team’s third consecutive America’s Cup defence, a record in the history of the event.

Under the renewed deal, Emirates will continue as Lead Sponsor, retaining naming rights alongside its designation as Official Airline and Carrier. The sponsorship includes branding on the team’s AC75 yachts, mainsails, chase boats, tenders, team bases, crew uniforms, and official team materials. Emirates will also feature across the team’s digital, social, media, and live event platforms.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said: “When Grant and I first met in 2004 to sign our naming sponsorship of Emirates Team New Zealand, few could have imagined that more than 20 years later we would still be standing together as partners. Their recent third consecutive America’s Cup win shows an extraordinary level of excellence, a philosophy we share at Emirates.”

Emirates Team New Zealand Chief Executive Grant Dalton added: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Emirates. Their support has been invaluable to the team through victories and challenges alike, giving us confidence as we prepare to defend the America’s Cup once again.”

The Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup, set to take place in Naples in 2027, will see teams compete in AC75 class yachts. The Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Selection Series will determine which challenger faces Emirates Team New Zealand in the America’s Cup Match. Event details will be announced later.

The renewal also reflects Emirates’ long-term commitment to New Zealand. Emirates began services to the country in 2003 and now operates daily A380 flights to Auckland and Christchurch, as well as services to Australia. Beyond this, Emirates supports sailing globally through partnerships with the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team and international regattas like the Louis Vuitton Trophy in Dubai.
