Dubai Hosts 16th Globe Soccer Awards with Football Stars Honoured

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended part of the 16th edition of the Beyond Developments Globe Soccer Awards, at Atlantis The Royal Resort in Dubai.
The ceremony brought together leading football stars, decision-makers, legends and rising talents from around the world, with more than 20 awards presented during the evening.
Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé won the Best Men’s Player award for the first time in his career. In women’s football, Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmatí made history by winning the Best Women’s Player award for the third consecutive year.
Paris Saint-Germain was named Best Men’s Club after an outstanding season that included winning the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, French League and French Cup. The club also dominated individual awards, with Luis Enrique winning Best Coach, Vitinha named Best Midfielder, Désiré Doué winning Best Young Player, Luis Campos named Best Sporting Director, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi awarded Best Club President.
In women’s football, FC Barcelona Femení won the Best Women’s Club award. Young Spanish star Lamine Yamal (18) also impressed, winning two awards: Best Forward and the Maradona Award.
The ceremony also honoured football legends Andrés Iniesta and Hidetoshi Nakata with Career Achievement Awards, celebrating their lasting impact on the sport.
In an emotional moment, a special award was presented to the parents of late Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota, who passed away in a car accident in July along with his younger brother.
Other winners included Jorge Mendes as Best Players’ Agent, Portugal national football team as Best National Team, Paul Pogba for the Comeback Award, Los Angeles FC for Best Club Identity, Nicoletta Romanazzi as Best Mental Coach, and Right to Dream Academy as Best Academy.
