Teams began arriving in Amman yesterday ahead of the inaugural Arab Volleyball Challenge Cup, with matches set to get underway tomorrow. The tournament runs from November 28 to December 5, with six nations competing: Bahrain, Egypt, hosts Jordan, Kuwait, Palestine, and Tunisia. Each team will play the others in a round-robin format to determine the first champion. Bahrain arrive on the back of a strong year. In June, they captured their first-ever AVC title at the inaugural AVC Men’s Nations Cup on home soil. Their momentum continued earlier this month with a bronze medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, highlighting their growing consistency on the regional stage.

Beyond regional bragging rights, the tournament offers ranking points toward upcoming AVC and FIVB qualifiers. With confidence high and a busy 2026 Asian calendar approaching, Bahrain are determined to build on their progress and make a strong start in Amman tomorrow.
