Bahrain Concludes 3x3 Basketball World Tour with Serbian Team Crowned Champions

Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Serbian team UB was crowned champion of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour after winning the final stop of the series held in Manama.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, presented the trophy to the champions during the event, which marked the conclusion of a global tour that began in Japan and ended in Bahrain’s capital.

In the presence of Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, and senior officials from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Shaikh Isa bin Ali also awarded the Lithuanian team Raudondvaris with second place. The finals drew a large crowd, filling the "North Harbor" area, which hosted this major international sporting event in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.

Shaikh Isa bin Ali also honored the Minister of Tourism in recognition of the ministry’s efforts in supporting and promoting major sports events hosted by the Kingdom.

The Manama stop concluded with traditional Bahraini liwa music and cultural performances, reflecting the Kingdom’s rich heritage, national identity, and welcoming spirit.

Shaikh Isa bin Ali emphasized that hosting the final round of the 3x3 Basketball World Tour highlights Bahrain’s growing position as a hub for major global sports events. He credited this success to the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He added that the impressive turnout, strong competition, and professional organization reflect the capabilities of Bahraini talent in delivering world-class events.

Shaikh Isa bin Ali further noted that this achievement aligns with the vision and support of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to elevate 3x3 basketball in Bahrain, reinforcing the Kingdom’s status as a leading destination for international sports and its commitment to providing an ideal environment for athletes and fans alike.
