Endurance race winners honoured

Representative  of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Honorary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa honoured the winners of the National Day 120km Endurance Race yesterday.

Rashid Al Rowaie from Al Zaeem Stables (four hours 26 minutes 40 seconds) came in first at a speed of 27km/h riding Kahraby. 

Second place went to Al Khalidiya Stables jockey Raed Mahmoud (4:26.41) who crossed the finish line a second after Al Roawae on Goodaseel and Al
Zaeem Stables rider Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa on Plugeal (4:44.10) came in third.

Shaikh Nasser praised the good performances shown by the participating
riders in the race, reflecting the developed skills that exist in the Bahraini endurance sports and expressed his optimism for the future of endurance and equestrian sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team is constantly taking the opportunities of organising local races and championships to discover new talents that
would enrich the team in the future.

He commended organisers of the race and their efforts to bring out a
successful event to celebrate the 44th National Day and the 16th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.
Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Endurance Committee in BREEF expressed his appreciation to the support of Shaikh
Nasser and his constant directives and advice to endurance sports in the Kingdom. 

Al Rowaie said winning the race is a valuable victory that would benefit his career and performance in the upcoming endurance championships and races in the local season.
He thanked Shaikh Nasser for his instructions
to Al Zaeem Stables and
its riders, reflecting on their performances by finishing first and third on the podium.
