His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), issued edict (1) of 2025 to establish the Jockey Foundation at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club.

Under the decision, the foundation will develop policies to support Bahraini jockeys competing in horse racing. It will set eligibility criteria for assistance, create strategic plans to ensure sustainability and oversee the provision of medical and financial support for injured jockeys during races or training.

The foundation will also implement training programmes, rehabilitate injured jockeys for competition, and manage the jockey academy by enhancing training and qualification programmes for local and international competitions. Additionally, it will coordinate with health authorities, insurance companies, and other relevant entities to ensure comprehensive support for jockeys.

Mohammed Ahmed Nema Allah Al Nema has been appointed to manage the Jockey Foundation at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club.
