Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the fourth edition of the 2025 Sports Games concluded in spectacular fashion on March 12, 2025. Hosted at the Isa bin Rashid Sports Complex in Isa Sports City, the event—organised by the General Sports Authority—brought together presidents of sports clubs and federations, alongside officials from governmental bodies and the private sector. His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority, presided over the occasion, crowning the victors in a ceremony that celebrated Bahraini sporting unity.

The presence of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed lent the tournament a regal gravitas as he honoured the winners, joined by a distinguished assembly of dignitaries, club and federation heads, and members of Bahrain’s diplomatic corps. In his remarks, Sheikh Salman expressed profound gratitude to Sheikh Khalid for his unwavering support, crediting his directives for the event’s resounding success. Now in its fourth year, the Sports Games have solidified their role in fostering bonds within Bahrain’s sporting family and bridging connections with government officials, a mission Sheikh Salman hailed as a triumph of collaboration and camaraderie.

A Festival of Sport and Spirit

This year’s edition saw over 80 participants divided into four teams, competing across seven disciplines: mini-football, volleyball, basketball, 1v1 football challenges, an obstacle course, shooting, and sandbag throwing. The festivities were preceded by warm-up sessions and medical check-ups, ensuring all were primed for the action. Sheikh Salman lauded the impressive turnout, noting how the enthusiastic participation underscored the event’s core objectives—enhancing communication among sports officials, encouraging cooperation, and igniting competitive spirit in a Ramadan-inspired setting that resonated with Bahrain’s cultural heartbeat.
