NBB rewards saving habits

A Bahraini saver has walked away with a dream home after winning a luxury villa through the National Bank of Bahrain’s Thara’a Prize Account. Mahmood Ali Zainal was officially awarded the Al Naseem villa in Diyar Al Muharraq on Thursday, making him the first villa winner in this year’s Thara’a campaign.

The prize was the headline reward in NBB’s June draw, which was conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and independent auditors to ensure full transparency and fairness.

Major milestone

Subah Abdullatif Al Zayani, Chief Executive of Retail Banking at NBB, said the win was a testament to the value of financial discipline. “Thara’a reflects our commitment towards rewarding financial responsibility with life-changing prizes. Presenting a home to one of our loyal customers is a powerful reminder of the real value of saving,” he said.

He added that the bank was proud to be part of such a milestone in Mr Zainal’s life and looked forward to recognising many more winners in the coming months.

Bigger rewards ahead

The Thara’a Prize Account continues to be one of Bahrain’s most popular savings products, offering customers the chance to win five seafront villas and more than USD 3 million in total cash prizes this year. Draws are held regularly, with entry linked to maintaining a balance in the account.

Customers can participate by opening a Thara’a account through NBB’s digital app, website, branches, or customer care hotline.
